This past weekend was Memorial Day weekend and our second family camping trip in the camper. Gavin did so much better sleeping this time around, he still woke up but much less and for shorter durations. He is definitely a creature of habit and doesn't sleep as well if away from his crib, Pam's pack & play or my mom's crib at her house. All we can do is get him out there and get him used to it. We don't have another camping trip set up until June and Gavin won't be on that one. It is a very busy summer so I don't know when we'll have our next family trip but I can't wait. We camped at the lake where Jim's parents and his uncle & aunt are seasoned campers and we went down Friday afternoon then left Sunday. We had hopes to set up Gavin's slide and water/sand toy on Monday but it rained pretty much all day so we just took nice, long, much needed naps. Saturday we did a little shopping then took a dip in the pool then crashed early... well, earlier than 11:00 like the night before. Jim's brother and girlfriend came down and brought waverunner so everyone got to toy around on that then Sunday Jim's sister, cousin, and a friend came down for dinner. Also on Saturday Mandy, Famous, and Chase stopped by on their way to shopping at the outlets. It was nice to be able to relax this weekend and visit with family. I really think Gavin is going to enjoy camping because he loves being outside and the campground we were on had tons of kids running around and playing. Oh and can I say, I don't know HOW many times we watched Toy Story. Finally I had to put the second one in because I had had enough of the first one. Gavin would watch it while having his night time milk and in the morning before we started our day. Don't get me wrong, I love that movie, but it was a little much... ha.
