Check up

Gavin had his 15-month check up last week and the doctor said everything looked beautiful. As she walked in the door Gavin turned and said "Hi" real loud and clear and she said "well, I guess that answers my question about your talking". I have been concerned about his enunciation of words but she said that he is doing great and at this point as long as a family member understands what they are saying, that it is exactly what should be happening so she made me feel better about that. Since he has had about 6 ear infections and is currently getting over anther one she wanted to make sure that it wasn't disrupting his hearing and language but she doesn't think that it is. She wants to recheck his ears in 3 weeks and if he gets another infection by the end of summer then he will be referred to an ENT to see about putting tubes in. Other than his ears his weight was 27.13 so just under 28, I can't remember the other measurements but he has grown 2 inches since his 1 year check up and his height to weight ratio is still in the 97th percentile but individually they are evening out beautifully, as Dr. Gordon says. He even got a 'good patient award' which gives him a free mini pizza at Papa Murphy's. He is also working on getting in his lower eye teeth and more molars, that boy is getting a mouth full of teeth. On a side note, Gavin is climbing on everything he can. He even climbed out of his pack & play at the sitters house up on to her daughters bed then slid off that and walked down then hallway to the living room, it was a shock to Pam as he should have been sleeping. Anyway, here are some of his favorite words at the moment are:

Dog
Patch
Dad
That (points at EVERYTHING and says that)
Down
Done (still does the sign language of "all done" on occasion)
Ear
Nose
Hair
Eye
Mouth or tongue (I can't seem to figure that one out but he always wants me to stick out my tongue when he points to my mouth)
Bath
Milk
Yes
No
Huh?
MMMM
Mama (although it's not often he does occasionally say it)
I swear he says door when pointing to the door but that could just be me thinking he is

I'm sure there are more random ones here and there that aren't detectable to the average ear but mom, dad, and grandma understand. On top of all the words he's saying, he is pointing to his ears, hair, nose, mouth, and belly when asked.

He loves making this spin
His attempt at climbing the bed
