17 months!!!

17 months already... can someone please tell me how we got here so fast?! Gavin is just learning and showing us new things everyday. His words aren't always clear right now but boy if they were I bet we would all get an earful. It is a good thing his tongue is attached because when he gets to rambling his tongue flips and flops... it's very cute. I always have to giggle at him because he gets that one eyebrow raised with such a serious look on his face... I can guarantee I'm going to have many stories to post in the years to come. Not much has been going on in the Stokes house other than just staying busy with summer activities. It was so hot this past weekend that Gavin walked around much of the time with minimal clothes so sorry for the graphic pictures...ha.
Yesterday we spent some time outside in the water and just playing around. Saturday, myself and a couple friends had a friends baby shower for a friend of ours and we had some leftover balloons so last night Jim and Gavin decided to let them go in the backyard. I think Gavin was really confused as to where they were going... he watched them until they were out of sight.
I swear this child is a go getter... he doesn't seem to have much fear and has started climbing on EVERYTHING. It is strange some of the things we see as we come around the corner that he is standing or sitting on. My mom was in her kitchen, which overlooks the living room, a couple weeks ago when she turned to look at Gavin and found that he was sitting on the coffee table. We think he climbed on a toy onto the table. Last week he really started in on that at home, thus the picture of him standing on his riding turtle toy... apparently he would rather stand on it then ride it. He just cracks me up though with all his little quirks, I love his sense of adventure!!!
