Gavin loves cookies and he sounds so cute when he says it. It sounds similar to daddy but with an O... so maybe kind of like doodie. I told dad that he was calling him doodie but he didn't buy that... ha. Last night we made some of the easy just plop them on the cookie tray and bake cookies, soon we'll be making the homemade kind. He could hardly wait for them to get out of the oven so I thought it'd be cute to put oven mitts and my apron on him... what a cutie!!! He is still learning and growing so much. He is still just as active as ever but he will sit down and read/point out things in books. He can point out many things like, bananas, cookies, cat, dog, Ernie, monkeys, bubbles (his bubble book), duck, dog, bear and many more. He is becoming one smart cookie and it's amazing to me the things he remembers and understands even though he isn't saying everything... wonderful perceptive language. The parents as teachers lady came out a couple weeks ago and she was very happy with his progress. She brought fake food to play with, she says that imaginary play is important at this age and was overly impressed with how long he played. She said that he sat and played longer than most kids do... I know dad isn't happy about this but I think we need to get him some play food and a tea set to give him some other things to do. Maybe we can find a bbq set or McDonald's set so its not so girly looking.
Anyway, we are getting ready for Halloween this coming weekend... be on the look out for the cutest pirate you've seen... let's just hope he keeps the hat on~~
