Yes, I know... I have been behind on my weekly blogging. Things have been crazy lately. We had so much fun during Thanksgiving, we hosted our first Thanksgiving at our house for the Stokes clan and it went so great and we had such a great time. I am very happy that we were able to have everyone over and enjoy the holiday. Jim's parents did the main cooking so we didn't have to prepare all the food and everything turned out wonderful. Gavin and Chase played together so well... there were only a few incidents of fighting over toys but they hashed it out. They shared toys, chased each other around the house and just had fun. Mandy and I often think, 'so this is what it would be like if we had twins'.
Last week was a hard week in our house, Tuesday night we woke up to Gavin crying and repeatedly saying 'uh-oh'. Once I got in his room I found that he had thrown up all over himself and his bed. I stayed home with him that day and he got sick a couple more times but never had a fever, just an upset stomach. He was better that afternoon then went to the sitters on Thursday. During the night Thursday my stomach started turning and I just felt bad so I stayed home Friday and I ended up getting sick and pretty much sleeping all day. Saturday Gavin started in with a pretty bad cough but again no fever. Sunday brought on another round of illness as Jim started feeling queasy and he stayed home yesterday because of it. Wow, I sure hope this round of illness is gone.
Saturday night St. Nick visited our house leaving Gavin a book and a 'Mator' shake and go car. We attempted to get a picture of him with his presents but he was too excited and wouldn't sit still long enough... is this how Christmas is going to be??? He really likes the car and I must say that after having it in my car a few weeks ago I'm happy to have it out since every time I went around a corner it would go off... it says a line like "well, all be" or "well shooo... oooo... oot" then the wheels spin so it can be quite annoying but he loves it so we'll keep it. Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving and the past couple weeks...
