Lions & Tigers & Bears...

"Oh my"... sorry I had to finish that thought. Two weekends ago we met up with the Lewis family and took the boys to the St. Louis Zoo then we made a stop at Matt & Stephanie's to meet their newest addition, Mr. Harper. Poor little boy wasn't having the best of days but I just love that we were able to see him and hold him. Gavin kept wanting to cover him with his blanket that he brought along... what a good helper.
Now on to all the fun we had at the Zoo. Jim and I hadn't been to a Zoo in who knows how long so we were all overly excited about going and boy did we have fun. I have to say that I was kind of sad that we didn't see any giraffe's or polar bears but the animals we saw that day definitely made up for it. We saw tigers, bears, penguins, zebras and so much more. One of the coolest things we did was pet the stingrays, I did more petting but Gavin would splash in the water then when they came close he would pull his hand out of the water. I got overly excited for him to pet one that out of reaction I grabbed onto one's wing and when it flapped for me to let go it hit Gavin's hand... that was the most interaction they had and he didn't quite know what to think of that. We had such a good day and the boys did so good for us. They both had very limited nap time but played together so well at Matt & Steph's. It was so cute because they would run after each other in the backyard then knock each other down and just giggle hysterically about it. At one point Chase was laying on the ground and Gavin would pounce on him but every time he did Chased giggled so loud then said "do again" so of course Gavin would pounce again. I just love that they are starting to interact and play together... they are really going to be lifelong friends. Here are some pictures from our fun weekend.

Ignore my face but I love the expression Gavin has... you can almost hear the squeals
