This past week Gavin has been (for lack of a better word) a terror. I love my little man to pieces but he has really pushed some buttons this week. First off he is throwing tantrums, not just plopping on the floor but hitting his head on chairs (intentionally), smacking (not hard but still smacking), and rolling on the floor. Friday I picked him up from Pam's and he threw another fit there (she always says how much of an angel he is at her house so now she got to see first hand what I've been saying) so I scooped him up and said "GOODBYE" then put him in his carseat and off we went. Dad was out of town at a Cardinal's game and we were supposed to do dinner with some friends but there was no way I was going to take him in public acting that way so we (I) opted to stay home but I really wanted some company so I called Jim's cousin Mandy to see if her and Chase could come visit and maybe Chase could take his mind off his attitude. Well, it's so weird because after Friday night (and I may be speaking too soon) he didn't act up at all the rest of the weekend and has been a REALLY good kid. Grandma and I even took him to story time at Barnes & Noble and he did so well... I think we need to have Chase over more often... ha. Of course I got on-line to get some tips and pointers on what to do in the future and they all say that these 'tantrums' could last for another year or so... ooeevey!!!! On a happier note I do have to say that for the most part Gavin is a really good kid, he just has his moments that he just doesn't want to listen and wants to do his own thing. Really, that's just life and its a hurdle we'll have to overcome and everyday we grow as a family... some days are just worse than others!!!
Gavin and Chase played so well together this weekend. Normally they don't play with each other but just along side each other. One would go this way then the other followed. We tried but it is hard to get two 18-month olds to sit still for more than a second and when one would sit the other would get up. It was so cute to see them playing, it sure is going to be fun to see them as they grow alongside each other.

He was doing this cute walk/crawl thing... notice Chases stare and Mandy pointing her finger... it was funny!!!

He loves smelling flowers and wanted everyone to smell this one...

That walk/crawl thing is actually how Braden crawled...he never did the hands and knees thing, it was just like that! Nick use say that Braden looked like a monkey when he "crawled" becaus he did it like that...he could get going pretty fast too!
