I love, love, love this time of year. I love the chill in the air, I love the colors, I love the holidays around the corner and I love the warm feeling I get when Fall is here. This year we decided to plant some mums around our trees so we may be greeted each year by the colors and I must say they look very cute... Gavin loves smelling them and of course throwing cars in them... I hope they make it with his arm!!!
This past Sunday, for the first time, we went to Hartsburg for the Pumpkin Festival. We had no idea what to expect and I must say it exceeded my expectations. I had heard it was a big festival but man there were TONS of booths, crafts, kids attractions and food. Jim said "if you are looking for a place to eat and buy things this is the place to go". Gavin did so good and I think he had a great time too. I bought a couple things to help remember the occasion, an ornament for Gavin and a cute metal spider which holds a pumpkin. It's hand made out of rebar so it's unique and I can't wait to get a pumpkin to put on it. Oh and I can't forget the best fudge I've ever had, pumpkin fudge. I didn't know such a thing existed. I usually can't eat much fudge but this was awesome... just wish I would have bought more!!! Gavin got to pick a pumpkin and win a prize, eat some pumpkin fudge, people watch and ride a pony in which I could tell he really loved because as we were circling he kept looking at me and giggling. It was the cutest.
What a great kick-off to Fall!!!
