Oh Really??!!

I just can't say how much I am amazed with some of the things Gavin does. Whether funny, serious, tantrum-like or down right moving, he is just keeping me packed with adventures and I'm loving it. Take Saturday night for example, dad and Gavin went to get some pizza while I was out with some friends. Dad said that they were in the car and my Michael Jackson CD was playing and while oh so quietly sitting in his carseat out came an "Oww" which can only mean one thing. My child is a fan of Michael, oh and that he takes in everything he hears. I'd like to think he probably made that sound because of the song but he was probably mimicking me making that sound over and over while listening to the music. Ahhhh... kids!!! Another good example, the Olympics have been on our TV every night since last week. I have realized my desire to learn how to snowboard and Gavin has shown that he loves twirling like the skaters... um a little backwards but I don't know a two-year old that doesn't like to twirl. I of course, had to get it on video so look below to see his reenactment of ice-skating. Monday night Jim was working on his flip house with his buddies so it was a mommy and Gavin night, I decided we would take some self-portraits but Gavin had another idea of not cooperating so the pictures are hilarious but we got a couple cute ones. He loves looking at the preview of the picture and when he would see a picture of him he would make the same face as in the picture or make some noise simulating the situation, it's just so cute that he sees things like that and will do what's in the picture. Lastly, I am always left in 'awe' when Gavin does a task without complaining and exceeds what I asked. Like "please get your shoes" and he knows exactly where they are and when I look in his room afterwards I am in awe that he not only got me his shoes but made sure his closet doors were closed behind him. Or when I ask him to put his stool back and he not only puts in the bathroom but puts it next to the toilet up against the wall exactly how it was found. He is such a good helper with putting his toys away before bed when we ask, he still loves his routines, he loves to color, he can tell you which color is color which and will say blue, red and sometimes green when asked what color it is, he points out and says the letters O and T all the time and sometimes E and is working on the other letters, he loves to play with his play-doh, run around the house and play with/tackle us. I truly love this child...
