Another Stokes: Happy 2nd

Yesterday was Gavin's 2nd birthday and I can't believe how fast it got here. Unfortunately he didn't spend his birthday like everyone would like, the night before he started throwing up so he spent yesterday recovering. He had a pretty good day although he still didn't want to eat but I thought we really were in the clear until 10:30 when I had this feeling to check on him and when I did he woke up and threw up again. I feel so bad for Gavin that he has this stomach bug and on no other than his birthday. Not a great way to spend his day but we still made it special and gave him his presents to open and for a brief time you wouldn't have even known he felt bad.

Since it's his birthday I'll update everyone on what a smart cookie he is and tell you of a few things he has learned this past year. He knows, red, blue, green, and most the times yellow. He says many letters when he sees them and surprises me with new ones. He knows O, T, A, F (which by the way is really cute when he says it), L, I, E, H, B, D and S. I'm sure there are ones here and there and he won't say all of them all the time but I think this is pretty good for his age. I was really amazed last night while in the car that he saw, from his car seat, the F on our radio where it said FM 101.5. When asked how old he is he says 'two' and sometimes holds up his hand trying to make a two out of his fingers. I'm attaching some pictures I took of him yesterday while home with him.

These past two years have been wonderful and I wish my boy a Happy Birthday!!!
