Happy Easter

This was by far my best Easter in a long time. Gavin is at that age now that he gets so excited about things and it is the best thing to watch. Saturday morning we dyed some easter eggs which the 'Easter Bunny' hid the next day. Sunday we started the morning to see what the Easter Bunny brought, a basket of goodies and some eggs to be found in the yard. At first Gavin didn't want to pick up the eggs but quickly got over that and then it was on.

Toy Story egg

they were heavy but he didn't want any help.. he loves doing things on his own

After that we headed to gma and gpa Stokes's for brunch and another egg hunt.

each time after finding an egg he'd put it in his basket then put his hand up as if saying "okay... where's the next one"

We then went to great-grandma Rehagen's for lunch and visiting. Gavin decided to play hide and seek with my cousin Macy and it was so cute, they would take turns hiding, although Gavin hid more, then when he would find Macy he would get a gleam on face, throw his arms up in the air and say 'ada!!!'. My cheeks were hurting after all the fun and laughter we had.

"ada!!!"

she found him...

Lastly we went to great-grandma Stokes's for dinner. Gavin and Chase again played so well together and had such a great time hunting for eggs. I got so tickled watching Gavin hunt for eggs since by this time he was a pro and knew what all the eggs were for... however this time he screamed and ran in excitement. I kept telling him to pick up the eggs but he would run up to them screaming then run to others he saw. My thinking is that the 'Easter Bunnies' hid a hundred or so eggs (yep for 2 kids) that he was so excited and couldn't hold it in so he just ran and squealed. He finally got into picking the eggs up but was still so excited and not slowing down that he took a fall on the sidewalk and bummed his knee, which by the way he still points to and says 'ouch knee'... yes, he's a little dramatic but I love it.

after a long day, both sporting their bug catcher gear...

I love all the pics! Gavin is getting so big, I am sorry we missed seeing him last weekend when we were in Jeff :( He is such a little boy now! His gleaming face in the pics just put a smile on my face. What a cutie you guys have there! :)
