It has been a while since I updated the blog, I know, what is wrong with me??!! Well our house is definitely keeping busy with going outside to play almost every night and just the day to day living. Our evenings seem to just fly by and before we know its time for Gavin to brush his teeth and for me to read him his books. What do we do to fill up that time?? Honestly, I don't know... we go outside until our bellies are rumbling for dinner or until it's dark. Actually I do know what we do outside, we write on the sidewalk with chalk, we play with bubbles, Gavin rides his tricycle, car or pulls his wagon around. He also loves to help dad (rides with him on the lawnmower) mow the lawn. We were starting to run out of indoor activities so I'm glad it's warming up and giving us the time to be outside... yes, it's spring and we are loving it.
Gavin's activities and language just keep growing and growing, it's so much fun. We are home a good 45 minutes before Jim gets home for work and almost everyday after about 15 minutes he starts saying "hide... hide" in his soft voice and he'll 'attempt' to hide. Sometimes it's just laying on the floor covering his head but others (like last night) he gets creative and hides behind curtains or behind furniture. I have to remind him that dad isn't home yet but I always let him know when I hear his truck so he can hide, it's so cute because he always pops his head out and growls "roar" as Jim walks in the door. Most the time he isn't even in the door yet but he's so excited he can't hide any longer.
His language is really growing and he's using multiple word phrases pretty good now and he still mimics almost everything we say... like I said "geez Jim" and Gavin just like our little parrot said "deez dim". It was the cutest thing. He says 'our house', 'bye house', 'go Patch' and many other phrases that for the life of me I can't remember right now. He loves for me to read books to him, over and OVER and OVER AND OVER!!! His favorite books right now are: 'Goodnight Moon', 'Counting Kisses', and 'The Big Red Ripe Strawberry' or at least that's what I think it's called. Anyway, not much else is going on in our house at the moment. We are all enjoying the beautiful weather and Jim is happy that he's outside again cutting grass. I hope spring stays around for a while longer, we are really enjoying it.

I swear he can spot these a mile away

at the state park this past weekend

bubbles, bubbles, bubbles

I love how excited Patch looks
