So I saw some canvases in a picture that I loved and I asked my sister if she could use her artistic abilities and make them for his room except that I wanted them to make out his date of birth. Since she needed the date of birth to complete them, they had to wait...ha. Anyway, she completed them and gave them to me this weekend so we finally got his curtains hung and his room completed. I love the way everything turned out... I've attached a few pictures. The first two are of the canvases she made, she surprised me with one that she made of Gavin's cute little face. Oh yea, look closely and you can see Gavin's foot sticking out of the crib... he was enjoying his mobile. The last one is of a picture that I bought in Kansas City while I was pregnant and it says, "the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step" so I thought it would be cute to put Gavin's feet print below that picture as he grows. The first set are from his 4-month birthday. The little turd spread then curled his toes while we were doing this so they look silly but I will always have those memories so it's worth it. We decided to put a foot print on the inside of his closet as well so then when we paint his room (way down the road) we will still have his foot print for memories.

Looks great, and your sister did an awesome job with the numbers! The feet print idea is really neat too!
