We didn't do a whole lot this past weekend but boy did it fly by. Friday Gavin hung out with grandma and grandpa Scott a little so I could go to the library and Jim could cut grass (I think, I can't remember anything these days) then that night we went uptown to watch the parade, it was little but I think Gavin really enjoyed it. He sat in awe as the floats, firetrucks, little cars, and others walk by. Honestly, I don't know who enjoyed it more... as the group of Star Wars characters walked by Jim yelled "Darth Vader!!!" so the guy turn around and just stood there starring at us. I have to say that it was a little creepy. We didn't walk uptown because Gavin was tired and cranky and it was dinner time so we went to Oscar's and had a great dinner. Saturday we hung out around the house then after Gavin took a nap we headed to the campground at the lake to have dinner with Jim's family. Gavin got to swim a little before dinner then just as we were getting ready to set the tables outside it started to rain. Us three stayed in the camper to eat since there was little room left outside that wasn't covered and really its just easier with Gavin to eat at the table inside instead of cramming under a cover to shield the ran, dinner was excellent as always. Once dinner was done it was time to head back, Gavin was asleep before we even made it 5 miles. We managed to get back to Jeff before the fireworks at the capital went off so we parked and watched. Gavin missed out this year because he was sleeping but my hope is that next year we can sit uptown so he can see them... what's a 4th without fireworks!!!
sitting in his new stroller at the parade... ignore the straps on his shoulders, we literally took it out of the box before the parade so we didn't have time to adjust things...ha!!!
Ummmmm
"Jim, I am your father" (inhale, exhale)
I didn't quite understand the monkey being in the parade...
Gavin at the lake... his shirt says "all fired up"
tuckered out...
ooooooooooohhhhhh

Jim, you should never call out Darth Vader... your lucky he didn't use the force and lift you up and strangle you and toss your lifeless body onto the asphalt. LUCKY
Robots do NOT fight fair, you know that, Jim...
I love the pic of Gavin in his camping chair! I can wait for Labor Day weekend camping with our boys! :)
