Really not much new to report. Gavin is still learning so much and mimicking EVERYTHING we do or say... he said 'dude' the other day after I did. It's just so cute when he tries to say or do things like us. We still look at him and just think he is the cutest thing ever and how did we get so lucky. I have to admit that sometimes we still find it weird that we made this child and he is ours... I know it's been almost 19 months but the new never wears off and he is learning so many things that he still amazes us. His appetite has really picked up again so I think it's another growing spurt, wow that kid eats... grandpa thinks he has a hallow leg...ha. Gavin loves to pick up flowers and sniff them then have you sniff them. Well, we had fettucine with chicken and broccoli last night and Jim put a piece of broccoli on his plate that resembled a green flower (right I know, there isn't such a thing unless you consider broccoli a flower) and he picked it up sniffed it then held in front of my nose to smell. What a darling!!!
A friend of mine and her husband bought a house in Kansas City and I thought it would be nice to go check it out so Gavin and I are giving dad a day to get a job checked off his 'to do' list. Jim has has the product to paint our upstairs garage floor for 2 years and has been trying to find the time to get this done so I thought what better time for the two of us to get away. Dad doesn't really want us to be gone for the full night since we all sleep much better when at home but we'll see how the day turns out. Anyway, that's the jist of our lives right now... here are a few recent pics.
